Slave Labor

    When it comes to slave labor, there is a direct affront to the principles and individual guarantees provided both the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Constitution.This sad reality has been repeated day after day ...Slave labor, exists in all economies in the world, in all regions and presenting the most diverse forms.
    Forced labor is characterized when the employer, using the threat keeps employees on their property, products and sells them for high prices.
   Employees, in view of the high prices charged on the food, shelter and clothing, can never pay off their debts, being prevented from leaving the property. The working hours are high and environmental conditions are precarious work.
   Other irregularities usually made by employers is the retention of the Employment - CTPS and discount monthly salary amounts to union workers is not associated or have not authorized the discount.
   To curb the illegal use of hand labor analogous to slavery, in 2004 the government set a record figure which employers caught doing the exploration. When inserted in this register, the offender is unable to obtain loans in banks and government officials also joins the list of companies belonging to the "production chain of slave labor in Brazil."
