    Characteristics common to observe groups are considered biased when they enter the field of aggression or discrimination, if not to notice the social, cultural or even physical alone does not account for bias, they may be showing only customs, modes of certain groups or even the appearance of people from certain regions simply as an illustration or educational.

Slave Labor

The Statue of Liberty

 A Estátua da Liberdade é um monumento localizado na entrada do Porto de Nova Iorque desde 28 de outubro de 1886. Comemora o centenário da assinatura da Declaração da Independência dos Estados Unidos e é um gesto de amizade da França para com os Estados Unidos.Projetada e construída pelo escultor alsaciano Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi,que baseou-se no Colosso de Rodes para edificá-la. Para a construção da estrutura metálica interna da estátua, Bartholdi contou com a assistência do engenheiro francês Gustave Eiffel, mesmo arquiteto da Torre Eiffel.
 A Estatua foi um presente dado por Napoleão III, como prémio aos Estados Unidos após uma batalha vencida contra a Inglaterra. 

       

A conjunção ''QUE'' em Inglês ....

• Na dica de hoje, a ideia é mostrar a você como dizer “que” em inglês na função de conjunção. Em outra dica, falarei sobre seu uso como pronome relativo. Dividindo dessa forma a dica fica mais descomplicada e, portanto, simples de entender. Afinal, o seu desejo é falar inglês e não fazer análise sintática da língua.
  
  Dito isso, anote aí que para dizer “que” em inglês como conjunção a palavra será “that”. Isso mesmo! Por incrível que pareça é a palavra “that” que faz o papel de “que” como conjunção em inglês. Veja alguns exemplos:
   
•  He said that he wouldn’t come to the party. (Ele disse que não viria à festa.)
   
•  She thought that you were married. (Ela achava que você era casado.)
   
• I realized that he was innocent. (Eu percebi que ele era inocente.) 

   O interessante em inglês é que na língua do dia a dia o “that” pode ser deixado fora da conversa em vários momentos. Ou seja, há momentos em que ele não é dito e todo mundo se entende maravilhosamente bem. Para estudantes brasileiros isso é estranho; pois não temos a opção de deixar o “que” de fora da conversa.
   Ao longo dos seus estudos de inglês você certamente encontrará muitos outros exemplos de “that” com o significado de “que”. Logo, comece a observar isso a partir de hoje. Ao ler um texto veja a palavra “that” sendo usada e observe o seu significado e uso. Você, sem dúvidas, aprenderá muito mais.
 

Corpus Christi

  Corpus Christi é uma festa que celebra a presença real e substancial de Cristo na Eucaristia.É realizada na quinta-feira seguinte ao domingo da Santíssima Trindade que, por sua vez, acontece no domingo seguinte ao de Pentecostes. É uma festa de 'preceito', isto é, para os católicos é de comparecimento obrigatório participar da Missa neste dia, na forma estabelecida pela Conferência Episcopal do país respectivo.
   Em muitas cidades portuguesas e brasileiras é costume ornamentar as ruas por onde passa a procissão com tapetes de colorido vivo e desenhos de inspiração religiosa. Esta festividade de longa data se constitui uma tradição no Brasil, principalmente nas cidades históricas, que se revestem de práticas antigas e tradicionais e que são embelezadas com decorações de acordo com costumes locais.
  Em Pirenópolis, Goiás, é uma tradição os tapetes de serragem colorida e flores do cerrado, cobrindo as ruas por onde passa-se a procissão de Corpus Christi, também efeita-se cinco altares para a adoração do Santíssimo Sacramento, e execução do cântico latino Tamtum Ergo Sacramentum, esta procissão é acompanhada pela Irmandade do Santíssimo Sacramento e pela Orquestra e Coral Nossa Senhora do Rosário.

Calçada da Fama,é um passeio ao longo das ruas  Hollywood Boulevard e Vine Street em Hollywood, Califórnia, Estados Unidos .Constituído por mais de 2 000 lajes com estrelas, fazendo menção a celebridades honradas pela Câmara do Comércio de Hollywood pelas suas contribuições para a indústria do entretenimento. A calçada da fama possui 5,6 km.Cada estrela é rosa, feita de um mármore chamado terrazo e com um escudo de bronze com o nome do homenageado e uma figura relacionada a sua área .

Bullying ..

Bullying does not just happen face-to-face. Students and young adults may also struggle with hurtful or embarrassing messages via text or online.
Bullying is a widespread and serious problem that can happen anywhere. It is not a phase children have to go through, it is not "just messing around". Bullying can cause serious and lasting harm.



Types of Bullying

Bullying can take many forms. Examples include:
Verbal: name-calling, teasing
Social:spreading rumors, leaving people out on purpose, breaking up friendships 
Physical: hitting, punching, shoving
Cyberbullying: using the Internet, mobile phones or other digital technologies to harm others.

Everyone can help prevent and stop bullying. Adults have the responsibility to protect and be a role model for kids, teens, and young adults.  

No matter who you are or who you represent, you can influence lives and maybe even save a life.

Everyone needs to be aware not only about the warning signs and effects of bullying, but also about the ways to intervene and support both the person being bullied and the one bullying others.

My Childhood Memories !

     I remember when I was 5,6 years old my brothers and I jumped up the wall to go in the yard next door at that time there wasn't home there ... There was just bushes and my sister said that there had coconuts , and we ran to catch... When we arrived home my mother said it was poison those coconuts... not to go back there... But every day , especially in the morning we were going there... But when I was about 10 years I built a  house on the land and never found other coconuts ... 

         

         

Happy Mother's Day !

O Dia das Mães  teve origem no princípio do século XX, quando uma jovem norte-americana, Anna Jarvis, perdeu sua mãe e entrou em completa depressão. Preocupadas com aquele sofrimento, algumas amigas tiveram a idéia de perpetuar a memória da mãe de Annie com uma festa. Annie quis que a homenagem fosse estendida a todas as mães, vivas ou mortas. Em pouco tempo, a comemoração e consequentemente o Dia das Mães se alastrou por todos os Estados Unidos e, em 1914, sua data foi oficializada pelo presidente Woodrow Wilson: dia 9 de Maio.

No Brasil, em 1932, o presidente Getúlio Vargas oficializou a data no segundo domingo de maio. Em 1947, Dom Jaime de Barros Câmara, Cardeal-Arcebispo do Rio de Janeiro, determinou que essa data fizesse parte também no calendário oficial da Igreja Católica.

Paramore

After the departure of Zac and Josh Farro, Paramore able to show that chemistry is not lacking among new members. The rockers will be presented at Sunday night (20/02) in Sao Paulo and managed to overcome the incredible show they did in the country in 2008.




To open the presentation in the city, the band was invited to Fake Number, led by Elektra. And it could not be better. Even more energetic, they (who are also fans of Hayley and company), stirred with songs like "Platonic" and "That Song", plus covers of "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon, and "Dynamite" of Taio Cruz.
The Paramore took the stage without delay and scored "Ignorance" right away. Hayley gave jog in place in the air and jumped back and forth all the time. The crowd was crazy and screaming nonstop.
 Once we started singing "That's What You Get", a fan threw a flag of Brazil on stage. The singer loved it and soon broke loose. And from there were only successes. "Emergency," "Playing God" and "Pressure" made everyone freak out. "Decode" was too soft and "The Only Exception" ruffled a lot (the reporter who writes almost wept with emotion!).


The show had its moment acoustic. The Paramore showed their new song "In The Mourning," and Taylor has left too many girls supirando to go sit down over minutes and more minutes playing guitar.
The play also rolled loose during the presentation. "We will end the show right," said the singer as he showed a microphone. "This microphone help your dream become a reality," he continued.Afterward, he called two fans on stage, handed the microphone to them and they could sing a song with the band.
But the coolest of the whole show was even see the affection they have for Brazilian fans. After the presentation ended and the lights came up, Hayley had to go get Jeremy, who was a few seconds in the corner of the stage being superatencioso with the girls.


This is the second time that Paramore is coming to Brazil. The band closes the tour in the country on Tuesday (02/22), the Teatro Bourbon, Porto Alegre (RS).

Rock in Rio 4 happen again in the studied area, zone west of Rio de Janeiro, between 23 September and 2 October 2011 - again divided into shows in Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The site is 150 000 m² renovated with public money from City Hall, will Olympic Park to be called Rock City and will be used as a leisure area for athletes during the Games Olympic 2016.
Besides the show, will be assembled in a local park fun with Ferris wheel, zip line, mountain and kaboom Russian and a street with 30 stores, bars and restaurants.
The shows will be divided between the World Stage, where present the main attractions, the Sunset stage, which promote meetings between Brazilian artists and guests, and an electronic music tent, bringing together DJs national and international.
